we were trying to decide what else to include – we had some demos and some b-sides, unreleased oldies and ultimately settled on this final tracklist.

  1. standby, sir
  2. los federales
  3. celadon
  4. a series of trills
  5. this new year’s absence
  6. california is too long
  7. freelance forest
  8. paper airplanes
  9. wintersea
  10. spirited from the city
  11. california is too long – alternate
  12. down to bed (taken from california is too long 7″)
  13. the radiator – ida cover (originally released on “hope for japan” compilation for tsunami relief for japan)
  14. the seafarer (originally released on AM800 benefit compilation)
  15. time and tide (previously unreleased)

the hardest part, locating all of the old files. one piece of advice if we may… back up and organize all of your files for old sessions!

we finished packaging up, polishing a bit more, and then sent off to mastering with dax liniere (puzzle factory sound studios). in the meantime, rishi did all the artwork which incorporates elements from the original self titled ep and distance artwork.

we partnered up once again with better looking records, who released our split 7″ with north end last year and who has put out some of our favorite albums and artists!

overall, this was a joy to make, fun to hear these old songs with some new life in them, and hope you enjoy!

we cannot thank you all enough for the continued support. we appreciate and are humbled by all of you who have ordered, listened, shared or even just sent a quick note on what these songs have meant to you. the vinyl is sold out (and we are sorry that it’s delayed!!!), but you can purchase digitally on our bandcamp, or stream on all your go to streaming platforms!

lastly, we are working on new music! we have quite a few songs that are nicely coming along. not sure on timing for any updates on that front, but we are excited about how they are shaping up!

more (hopefully!) soon,

signal hill
